Alpha Sigma Alpha At Pitt-Johnstown
History of Epsilon Lambda
Epsilon Lambda was founded on March 28, 1987. Our colony, formerly know as hearts, resided in the back eight of Sunset at South Lodges. After being established, the chapter moved into Sunset IV which is located next to Kappa Delta Rho. Epsilon Lambda had 36 founding sisters, which has grown into 201 total sisters today. March 1999 will mark the 12th year for our chapter at UPJ. Our house is capable of housing 16 sisters, while the rest live in townhouses or North Lodges. Our national mascots, Raggedy Ann and the ladybug, cover the walls of our lobbies along with our chapter symbol, hearts. Our crest, painted by Debra McCalmont, EL 47, covers one wall in the downstairs lobby, and as soon as I scan in the picture of it, you'll be able to see it. Our two national philanthropies are Special Olympics and S. June Smith Center and Foundation.
