Pick some Rue on the night of the Mother Moon, with your left hand, as you pick it say "Rue, Rue, rare and true, cleansing powers I claim of Thee that (person's name) may no longer be suffering from their malady". Leave a libation as an offering to the plant. Place the Rue in a glass of pure spring water on the Altar for 24 hours, having circled it with salt.
After this time, return to the Altar and place four black candles at the cardinal points within the circle of salt.
Light NORTH candle: "This candle is symbolic of the manifestation of Earth in the disease of (name). By the power of light anf beyond the light, we abjure its ability to harm (name)".
Light SOUTH candle: "This candle is symbolic of pain caused to (name), and by the power of the light and beyond the light, we dissolve its ability to cause pain".
Light EAST candle: "This candle is symbolic of the barrier to compassion withheld from (name). In the power of the light and beyond the light, we break down this barrier. This is done in the names of the Goddess and God".
Light WEST candle: "This candle is symbolic of the Divine Love that will purify and bless (name), in the power of the light and beyond the light, we send divine healing love to (name)".
Leave the candles to burn out.
Collect the salt and Rue and place them in a small red pouch. Present the pouch to the person for whom the Rite was done as a talisman or amulet to aid her/his recovery from the illness.
