My Bookshelf

Okay, ever since the beginning of 2002, I made a resolution to read more. Well, I just decided since I've been reading a lot of interesting books that I will post my recommendations on the site for others to see and pick up an read if they get a chance. Enjoy all that knowledge that life has entitled us to gain.

Note: These Books will be the ones I started reading since 2002 and later, not the ones I've read before because it's been a while. So most of them will be kind of current.

The Wicca Handbook
by Eileen Holland Copyright 2000
Comment: A good handbook, not good as a guide, but as a handbook it is extremely good. It displays for you all kinds of correspondences you can choose from for just about any kind of spell you are looking for. A good information book.

The World of Wizards
by Anton and Mina Adams Copyright 2002
Comment: Wonderful book with brief descriptions and histories of the most famous and legendary wizards known to actually exist. Highly recommended as a guide to a brief knowledge about the magickal arts. Also see it's sister book by the same authors, "Witches and Wizards". Offer much of the same info, with some slight additions/subtractions, and alterations, republished only a year before.

Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner
by Scott Cunningham Copyright 1988
Comment: Another book about the basics of Wicca, Scott has a way with words. Although Scott is a good "writer", the book doesn't fit into what I would call a good guide.

The Hobbit
by J.R.R. Tolkien Copyright 1966
Comment: Fantastic! A fiction book, prequel to The Lord of the Rings series, about an adventure that had taken place in the world of Middle Earth.

The Illustrated Guide to Wicca
by Tony and Aileen Grist Copyright 2000
Comment: Good book for those wanting to learn about the basic history and practices for find more understanding for Wicca in general.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Numerology
by Kay Lagerquist and Lisa Lenard Copyright 1999
Comment: A very good book with tons of information, an excellent book for those with a burning interest.

Wicca Magick for Beginners: A Guide to Spells, Rites, and Customs
by Lady Sabrina Copyright 2001
Comment: Very excellent book for those who wish to begin the craft, provides the elemental basics and meanings.

Numerology for Beginners
by Gerie Bauer Copyright 2000
Comment: Good to compare with the Idiot's Guide. Calculates Life Path and Destiny calucates opposite than the Idiot's guide but it offers a more deep insite to the personal year, month, and day, which I found to be surprisingly accurate.

Edgar Cayce's ESP: Who He was, What he said, and How it came true
by Kevin J. Todesch Copyright 2000
Comment: Very good book for those who want to know who Edgar Cayce really was and types of predictions he gave.
