Manager Terry Francona Terry was Manager of the Birmingham team (White Sox AA Minor league club)when Michael Jordan tried to make the transiton from basketball to baseball.
Pitching Coach Galen Cisco Galen spent last season with the Las Vegas Stars, the top minor-league affiliate (AAA) of the San Diego Padres. Before stopping there, he was in the Toronto Blue Jays organization for the previous eight seasons, including six as Blue Jays pitching coach.
Hitting Instructor Hal McRae Hal is Brian McRae of the New York Mets Father.
Bench Coach Chuck Cottier Chuck spent the 1996 season as an advance scout for the New York Yankees. In 1995, he was the bench coach for the Baltimore Orioles. He was also manager of the Seattle Mariners from September 1, 1984 through May 9, 1986.
1st Base Coach Brad Mills Brad played baseball in the Montreal Expos organization with Terry Francona.
3rd Base Coach John Vukovich John has been a Phillies coach since 1988.
