-Heads up Display- This tells the player where he is, what he can do, what his stats are, and what's going on in the world. The HUD consists of Current HP/Max HP, Current MP/Max MP, ten clickable ready-to-go spells, (you can select which spells to use in the Main Menu,) weather conditions, date and time, Global Chat information, and left and right hand power meters.
-Battle System- Ideally, we will utilize a system similar to Secret of Mana. The enemies are all visible at your current location, and you use your weapons and skills to damage them until their HP reaches zero. Different weapons place different drains on your left and right hand power meters. Some weapons use both hands, such as bows and staffs. The S and D keys control left and right weapon usage. you cannot use your weapon until your power meters are fully charged. Additionally, by pressing the S and D keys together, you can execute a roundhouse attack, however this can only be done if you have the same weapon type equipped in each hand. Each roundhouse attack does something different. Gauntlets will generally slap your enemy away. Daggars will spin very fast, which will suck your enemy in and strike them repeatedly like a tornado. Swords will strike your enemy away from you, causing massive damage. Staff slaps your enemy around like the gauntlets, however causing massive damage. Bow shoots arrows in eight different directions for long range damage. Note this depletes your ammo supply. Whips will grab on your enemies and spin them away into the nearest object. Axes spin slowly, but will cause serious damage.
-Enemy Tactics- Enemies are set up on a unique basis. Each one has a minimum and maximum fighting level. Depending on the strength of the person who is attacking it, they adjust their level accordingly. A simple chup won't be able to get very strong, but a Basilisk will probably power up to a high level and use better and stronger tactics to defend itself, if faced with a high level player. This prevents high level players from getting bored through lack of challenge, because certain enemies grow stronger with them. All enemies give EXP and drop some Damascus once killed.
-Character Setup- You can develop your character in almost any direction. Leveling up grants you "power points" which you can allocate to the fields of your choice, of which are HP, MP, Stamina (power meter charge rate), Defense, Magic Defense, and Speed (faster walking and attack pace). Each Kingdom has it's own specific merits that only it's citizens can use. Most of these are magic and physical techniques, but there are some different weapons and stat bonuses, too.
-Equipment Setup- Equipment consists mainly of armor, weapons, and one accessory. There are three types of armor: leggings, helmet, and chest. Of course, you can't really see these things on the player, but they're there. There are seven types of weapons: Gauntlet, Daggar, Sword, Staff, Bow, Whip, and Axe. These are all visible while in use. Equipment is set up through the Main Menu. Note that the Bow is equipped by putting the desired bow in one hand, and the desired arrow in the other. You can mix and match for different range and effects. There are arrows for each magic element. There is another hand equipped item, the riot shield. This does not qualify as a weapon, as it doesn't deplete your power meters by using it. It can block projectiles, and increases your defense against physical attacks while in use. Keep in mind that in exchange for more defense, you lose the ability to use a weapon in that hand. You can equip two shields for double the defense, but after that, you must rely on magic techniques.
-Player Interaction- Each player has different identifying marks, besides their appearance. The nametag consists of name, guild, Kingdom (represented by a small Kingdom Seal icon,) aligment, (represented by name color,) and Current/Max HP. A small sword symbol will appear by the Kingdom Seal to indicate whether this player is PK-able. The player can communicate by chatting, which makes text appear in a speech balloon over his head, participating in the IRC-like Global Chat, or by sending a PM to another player. Low-level players can invest in special Newbie Armor, which has incredible defense against high-level PKers, to avoid easy killing. However, it has low defense against high-level monsters.
-Magic- Magic is an art the player must learn from their Master. Masters are of course, trainers who award things for leveling up. There are several types of magic: Fire, Ice, Electric, Dark Matter, Light Matter, Psionic, and Ground. Fire consists of offensive and defensive flame attacks. Ice consists of offensive and defensive ice attacks. electric consists of offensive electrical attacks. Dark Matter consists of incredibly destructive offensive attacks. Light Matter consists of incredible defensive attacks. Psionic consists of offensive and defensive Psychokinetic attacks. Ground consists of offensive and defensive attacks derived from the grond. Players can choose what spells they want to use in-game in the Main Menu. They can only have up to ten at one time.
-Physical Techniques- A small extension of magic. With a little MP a player can use special physical moves. These don't conform to any element, however. They share the space with magic spells, so players must choose wisely. Each Kingdom has its' own specific techniques to learn.
