A unique collection of photographs of European Royalty from the 1920s and 1930s. The author has tried to provide a pictorial record of a brief but important era in the history of monarchy. He has attempted to show a cross-section of royalty, the famous as well as the obscure, the reigning as well as the non-reigning. He also describes the complicated relationships that were shaken by the War but never completely shattered.
The photos in this book come from the author’s own collection and include the House of Savoy, Empress Zita of Austria and her family, King Olav of Norway, Grand Duke Kirill of Russia, the Coronation of King Ferdinand & Queen Marie of Roumania, the Orleans family, the Bulgarian royals and numerous German royal houses. Each of the royal houses of Europe appear to be represented in this beautiful album.
