Royal Russia is now one of the most popular websites in the world dedicated exclusively to the study and appreciation of the Romanov dynasty and the rich legacy they left behind for both Russians and non-Russians alike. In the past year, Royal Russia has more than doubled in size, and now offers more than 50 full-length articles, over 200 videos, over 350 news articles, over 1,000 photos, and an exclusive bookshop that offers a rich selection of books on the Romanovs and Imperial Russia.

As you can well imagine, maintaining a web site of this size requires time and money. Videos, photographs (JPEGs) and music (MPEGs) use up a lot of this space. I have exhausted the FREE space that Angelfire provides and am now forced to pay a monthly fee for more space to accomodate the site's growing needs. I also pay a monthly fee so that when you visit Royal Russia you are not inundated with those irritating pop-up ads and messages that are common on a lot of other web sites these days. I also have to pay for domain registration and a host of other services such as bandwidth to accommodate the growing number of visitors. This does not include the number of man hours put into the upkeep and maintenance of this growing site, which requires more and more time and skill as demand for more information increases.
