Sotheby's of London will auction a miniature portrait of the Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna on April 12.
The oval, ribbon-tied reeded gold frame with ivory back and A-scroll strut encloses a bust-length portrait miniature of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna wearing a white dress and a long strand of pearls.
Signed V. Zuev and dated 1905 in lower left corner, the frame apparently unmarked, the back of the frame with partially obscured ink inscription dated 1906.
