Concerts of organ music are making a spectacular comeback to the Tauride Palace in St.Petersburg after a 100-year break.
A new organ, supplied by Spain’s top organ makers Gerhard Grenzing, was designed to fit the interior of the Domed Hall, where the Potemkin organ lost in the 19th century used to stand.
During the presentation of the new organ today Russian and Spanish organ players will perform pieces by Handel, Mendelsson and Brahms.
