James Dobson's Response to The Colorado School Killings

Dobson's sentiment most likely voices the opinion of many christian and non- christian Americans.It certainly is our opinion here at Heaven Bound Ministry.

Dobson says," Our culture is saturated with violence and pornography-the two going hand in hand." He continues to say,"The internet is what worries me the most.Very few people really realize how addicting porn is,especially for young boys.It functions like a drug-needing more and more,eventually leading,in a large percentage, to violence and perversion.They often jump the fire line."

Dobson then refers to his conversation with Ted Bundy just before he was executed.He looked like the kid next door,but we know the story.Ted Bundy wanted to get the message out before he died,and knew the media wouldn't allow it,so asked for Dobson to come speak with him.Bundy supposedly found God in prison and whether he did or not is not the issue here.

Bundy said," He had come from a normal,christian,happy home.He and his friends as young teen,explored soft porn."{much like what we see on family tv today}.He became addicted and wanted more-wanting a greater sense of excitment."I was a normal person,with a normal life,and didn't hang out in bars.My family was shocked when I was arrested,they didn't have a clue.." Bundy puts a lot of the responsibilty on the media."I have known a lot of prisoners that are here for violent crimes,and without exception,pornography was a large part of their lives.These dangerous impulses are fueled by the media."

Dobson's message is loud and clear,and so was Ted Bundy's.More and more violence and porn is a "normal" source of entertainment.It is no wonder that so many today are getting caught up in it.Like those two boys, laughing and hooting as the murdered innocent classmates.As parents,we must realize that gun control {though it may or may not be a good idea} will not take away the addiction to perversion and violence. We have to take a serious look at the foundation of this frightening trend,and save our young people.Our children are counting on us.
