Decatur Township is a Second Class Township with approximately 3,000 residents. It is located in Clearfield County in central Pennsylvania. The two major traffic routes through the township are SR 322, (East and West), and SR 53, (North and South). The Police Office is located at the Decatur Township Municipal Building located along Fairview Rd. just north of the Borough of Osceola Mills.

The Decatur Township Police Department was formally established in 1979.

The Decatur Township Police Department works with the Houtzdale Regional Police Department through a Mutual Aid Agreement in an attempt to achieve the most efficient level of service to the members of the community. The PA State Police also provide services to the community when necessary.
