Ensign John Day, Sr., b. 1742,is buried at Bent Creek Cemetery just off Stage Coach Road in the Whitesburg Community of Hamblen Co., TN.
The Bent Creek Settlement later became known as the Whitesburg Community of
Hamblen Co., TN. Hamblen Co. was formed from Jefferson Co., TN in 1855.
