Technical Notes

By: Ray Van Raamsdonk

Technical notes are notes that I have been handing out in the beginner's classes. I try to get the students to comment on the notes: to agree, to disagree, to give their point of view. In this way I can tell how their thought processes are shaping up so that I can teach them according to what I think they are lacking. I am trying to get through the message that Wing Chun is also an intellectual thinking man's art. We can't all be ultimate warriors but most people can still derive much benefit from practicing and thinking about Wing Chun. I find the more that you think about the art, the more ideas come to you.
