this darkness is easy on the eyes
just as the silence is on the ears
I can see nothing I despise
with the sun so set all my fears
my soul is at peace with the cool night
the curious twilight air brushes my face
this silence is peaceful no disturbance in sight
carelessly traveling from place to place
my troubles blown away with the cool air
my mind body and soul in a perfect bliss
as my hair blows i’m without a care
the troubles of the day I do not miss

tonight all my problems are set aside
as my odometer rises so does my grin
embracing a warmth from deep within
I lean back in my seat and enjoy the ride

my body drained of all needless hate
the seat belt is soft across my chest
never growing tired of my worryless state
never feeling any amount of distress
nothing could ruin this perfect nighttime
no one could take away this peaceful trice
no on could destroy this peace of mine
without a thought there’s no need to think twice
one hand waving in the air I let out a laugh
my cheeks curve in the arch of a smile
my foot grows still heavier on the gas
I hope this feel stays for an endless while

tonight all my problems are set aside
as my odometer rises so does my grin
embracing a warmth from deep within
I lean back in my seat and enjoy the ride
