Watching The Rain Fall.

Rain burning eyes
Masking tears
Veiling truths

Tightening the knot
Of my own
Self-tied noose

Curtains are raised
And the show is
Astounding

The pain to myself
It is always
Compounding

In my mind she was mine
She was mine in my mind
In my mind which is blind
She was mine, still is mine

She was mine in my mind
In my mind she was mine
She was mine, she was mine
Until the end of time

In hindsight, with afterthought
It wasn’t so hard
Can get on with my day with
Little regard

Though for sure in the future
It’ll happen again
In which case I’ll grab my note book
And take out my pen
