Vultures circling above the cattle
Snakes approaching with a rattle
Fear impeding, blinded by
Consuming images fill the eye
The Vultures growing ever close
Cattle does not even know
Serpents ready themselves for kill
Consuming images, eyes are filled
Vultures close enough to strike
Circling in the cattle’s eye
Snakes do pounce – the herd starts running
Never even saw it coming
Falling victim as they flee
Can not outrun destiny
Snakes advance through camouflage
Vultures were but a mirage
