Thoughts.

I can not help what I think
But it can help me
Formulate in my mind
And write poetry
Give me story ideas
Bad ideas too
Can make me obsess
Over her, she and you
Plant seeds of evil
That grow with much haste
Justify my self-loathing
Make it okay to waste
Turn things complicated
Or overly easy
Holds me like a straightjacket
Won’t ever release me
These thoughts fill my mind
Just keep floating around
They enter so quickly
And I write them down
As if it will clarify
These things in my skull
Clarity don’t come
‘Cause there’s never a lull
They just keep on appearing
And changing my way
And I’ve never once
Thought what I say
Keep drowning around them
As I sink deeper, so deep
They don’t stop invading
Even when I’m asleep
