Poetry is like a diary
That's why sharing is dangerous
Each world a fragmented entry
Giving access to what's inside
And things that one might usually try to hide
Though, this doesn't mean that all poems are non-fiction
In fact, they are all mostly lies
Composed by a mixture of feeling and experience
They may even be designed to fool
Convince a reader of falsified flaws or emotions
But even if the words are penned by a liar
They'll always reflect back on him in some way
And hold a touch of truth
That's why the worlds best poems will never be read
Because they've been destroyed or hidden
Inside a frightened writer's head
