Walking along the railway tracks
A hollow bottle in my hand
Waiting to catch the midnight train
Rain pours and my face is wet
Just waiting for an accident to do what I could not
Surrounded by this empty black
The city lights are blocking out the stars
Convincing me I understand
That though I walk, I’m always behind bars
But I’m not crying
About to give the world back this
Needless space I’m occupying
Just waiting for the midnight train to end these existential pains
