Contented.

Reflection in the tram window
Mirrors my soul
A smile fills the space
Where there’s usually a hole
Hope wraps itself around me
Instead of unpassion
It’s a happiness that only comes in
Rations

The beautiful girl
The intelligent girl
The great girl;
For now she is away

But the afternoon I just spent with her
In my mind and smile
It will stay

And though her absence now
Eats at me
And I just want to be with her again

In my memories of today and
Fantasies of a tomorrow with her
I’ll be content
