A Funny Thing.

A funny thing happened the other day
I was on the tracks watching a train come my way
And as I got caught in it's beaming light rays
I took a step sidewards and out of the way
The train just blitzed past as I followed with my eyes
All the time asking myself "Why?"
"Why did I let myself step aside?"
Then the answer came to me - I don't want to die
