The Town & Country

Arial Shot.jpg (109068 bytes) The vast expanse of Whale Cove as can only be taken in from the air.

A view of the famous whale laden cove from the rear end of town.

The business and shopping district entailing the Inn to the left, Co-op to the right, and the government office-slash-garage building in the rear.

The downtown core from further away.

These scenic shoreline are just outside of town in three directions.

Buildings are more or less put up wherever the rocky tundra will allow, and the road tends to follow whatever mazy route the buildings form.

At the top of the hill are the "suburbs," a newer division of houses called Attivia.

Without a lot of artificial light, air pollution and other interfering factors, the views of the sunset, sunrise, northern lights, the moon cycle, and other events can be amazing in Nunavut's skies..

In winter or summer, the tundra is phenomenal.
