Faering

In 2002 master-craftsman Richard Amy, the President of the Australian Viking Ships Museum, created a scale replica of the 6.5 metre faering that was buried together with the Gokstad ship.

The faering has subsequently undergone its appropriate sea-trials. It is now on permanent loan to the AVSM, and is an integral part of the museum.
