This is the temperature the media spin doctors reached in the fever to dispute Michael Moore’s movie. What a joke. Every time I open up the paper or watch current affairs, somebody is going on about it. Then there is the discussion about how much effect it will have on polling day. This is all the media does. Whether it is a politician, or a filmmaker or an academic that has the attention. All they do is focus inwardly on what they said, and read polls.
I wish the journalists were Michael Moores. They should be exposing new information, I thought that was their job. Most people would never have heard that the bin Ladens were allowed to leave America without questioning after 9/11 if it wasn’t for the movie. Who knows what other information they’ll never bother to dig up.
Here’s the information it reveals:
-Bush won the election in a dodgy way. When votes were close, Supreme Court decided the election, rather than having a vote recount. Bush had personal ties to the Supreme Court Judges. He also had a friend running the Florida electoral ballots.
-Bush spent much of first 6 months (before september 11) of his presidency on Holiday.
-Bush is an idiot. He doesn’t take his position seriously, and makes jokes about serious issues.
-Bush family has oil money ties to the bin Laden family.
-Saudi Arabia owns 6-7% of America.
-15 out of 19 of the September 11 terrorists were Saudi’s, but Bush administration decided to not attack Saudi Arabia, and went after Saddam even though they already knew he had much less connection to terrorism than the Saudis.
-Bush administration pretended Saddam had lots of connection to terrorism and had lots of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and said so lots of times.
-Saudi Arabia practices public beheadings, inhumane treatment of criminals, like Saddam did.
-Virtually no senator read the Patriot Act before they passed it.
-Senators said they rarely read Acts before they pass them.
-Some companies like those involved in weapons, profited because of war, even as the rest of America went into a recession. George Bush senior is the head of one of those companies that profited.
-When they invaded Afghanistan, the Bush Administration didn’t send in special forces to the area where they thought Osama bin Laden was hiding till 2 months after they invaded.
-After he was told the World Trade Centres had been hit and that America was under attack, George Bush sat doing nothing in a Kindergarten classroom he had been visiting to read a story, until advisors came and got him out of the room.
-Hundreds of Americans have been killed in war against Iraq.
-Thousands of Iraqis have been killed.
-Soldiers tend to be from the poorest neighbourhoods.
-Army recruiting officers go to poor neighbourhoods to recruit.
-Poor people sometimes join the army to get opportunities for education, travel, work.
