How to Cook/Eat the Ulua

Shoyu Poke
- 1lb Ulua
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seed
- 1/4 cup shoyu (soy sauce)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp inamona (Kukui nut, go to local store and ask)
- 1 Hawaiian chili pepper
- Cut the fish into 1/2 in cubes. combine all ingedients and mix well. Chill before serving! ONO!
Ulua Fish with Panko
- Fresh ginger cut into slivers(to taste)
- Salt to Taste
- 1 Egg
- Panko
- Garlic, minced to Taste
- 1/2 cup Oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- Cooking oil
- Cut the Ulua into bite sized pieces. mix all the ingredients and marinate
- overnight. Bread with the Panko and Deep pan fry.
Ulua Vinaigrette
- 1 medium Ulua fillet
- 1 medium onion minced
- 1tsp salt
- 1tbsp vinegar
- 1 thumb fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Clean the fillet and fry in oil. set aside on platter. saute ginger, garlic, and onion
- add salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar, and water. bring to boil, pour over fish and serve.
