Shot Control

Shot Control does not necessarily mean what it says. It basically means having enough strength and balance to shoot the ball the direction you want without any difficulties. Most players have terrific shot control, but have low endurance therefore not abling them to shot the ball corectly with high fatigue.

The following excercises are made to help you control your shot when tired or other reasons that would "normally" effect your shot.

  1. For exercise 1, at the 6 different shooting locations shoot the ball once at each spot 5 times. Do not worry about making the shot but try to make it any ways.
  2. Exercise 2, is almost the same but does require accuracy. Shoot the ball and do not use a teammate to get your rebound. When you retrieve the ball do not go to the next shooting location until you have made the shoot from the current shooting location.

These two exercise are to start you off and help you make better shooting decisions. It will also help you when are forced to take a shot. You will know how to shoot the ball no matter where your location.
