Why i prefer daytrading to short term holding or longterm buy and hold methods? The simple answer is 'risk'. I am able to control risk immediately, cut losses quickly and save my capital. I want to sleep well every night, but equally i want to make daily 1% on my money if possible. The only conservative way i found to do this is that i must control my trading and decide how much money i risk on a daily basis.
