The night finally came, and the cast of ‘Angel’ slowly sauntered in. The final people to arrive were Joss and his team of writers and producers. Then he said out loud, “This night will be the single greatest achievement of this show’s five year history. Not only do we have Buffy returning and pretty much assuring that her two episodes will be the most watched episodes in the history of this show, but we start filming real life events, in the heart of Los Angeles. So, a film crew will follow Angel, Sarah, Wesley, Gunn, Fred, and Lorne and will shoot whatever they can; if in fact there is something to shoot.”

Joss continued explaining to the group what the other cast members would be up to but Sarah tuned it out, she was wondering what the hell he meant by filming whatever they could if in fact there was something to shoot. This day was becoming more and more like yesterday and she didn’t like it for a second. But, she just figured this was the last day she had to be here. Tomorrow she could look back on all this nonsense and laugh.

The six of them piled into Angel’s car, it was a tight fit, but they managed. Following them was the film crew. They began filming once they left fox studios. Everyone knew what was going to happen once they reached downtown L.A., except for Sarah. But this time Wesley wasn’t going to wan her. He knew that actions spoke louder than words. And there would be plenty of action ahead.

They finally made it to the heart of downtown, but were surprised only to find one man waiting for them on the dark street. The man couldn’t be missed. His bleach blonde hair stood out just like a thirteen year old boy who instantly hit puberty while singing “Ave Maria.”

Angel was smiling from ear to ear, for he knew Spike was anxious to fight. Not only was Spike standing in the middle of the street, he was holding a dagger the size of Andre the Giant’s hand. Angel quickly jumped out of the car and yelled to Spike, “I thought you’d made some friends since you came to L.A. But I guess they left you just like everyone else does.”

“Very funny soul boy,” Spike eagerly replied. “But to have friends you have to be soft and bloody care, and there’s nothing in me that says soft; and I certainly don’t care. You on the other hand are definitely soft, and your girlfriends probably can back me up on that one.”

Angel laughs at the witty banter that he and Spike always find themselves getting into. But before Angel could say anything else Spike went on, “So, you brought the star of Scooby doo too along for the ride huh. Has she figured it out yet mate? Does she know what you’ve just gotten her into? I take it by the look on her confused face that you haven’t. Allow me to enlighten the gal.”

As Spike gets closer to Sarah who finally got out of the car, a slew of demons came out from the darkness in back of Spike, then behind the car. Angel and the gang were now surrounded. But they were awaiting Spike’s signal to begin fighting.

Spike was next to Sarah who was now very curious as to what Spike was going to say to her. “I tried to tell you a few weeks ago pet. Well, I actually tried to kill you, so you wouldn’t have to worry about all this nonsense.”

          “What nonsense,” Sarah questioned?

“That you really are the Slayer,” Spike replied, and continued, while Sarah took it in. “Don’t get me wrong pet, I hate you for ending our show. I really wanted to kill you once it ended but, then I got the ‘Angel’ gig. So I decided to let bygones be bygones. But then I heard Joss mentioning something about you coming to film a couple of episodes. Then I knew I couldn’t let that happen. I didn’t want to fake feelings for you. I didn’t want to pan over you like Angel does everytime the name Buffy is mentioned. I despise you Buffy, and I was set to kill you by your trailer, but your knight saved you yet again.”

Spike began laughing as he walked away from Buffy’s side. He then said, “All these years you never once questioned anything about the show. You were oblivious to what was actually going on.  You thought everything was computer generated. You believed that everyone you killed was just a part of the storyline. I still can’t believe you didn’t realize that you really killed Angel in season two. His sudden invisible act after you staked him didn’t cause you to wonder where the hell he went. Jesus love, I thought for sure you’d catch on with that one. But you didn’t and the show went on. But I hate to say it, wait no I don’t, I’m so happy to share with you that you don’t have to worry about anything any longer. These demons who have volunteered, yes I said volunteered, are extremely anxious to end you. They can’t believe what a life you’ve had. They thought they were through with the slayer, but now your back and they can’t wait to finish you. They can’t wait to pay you back for taking the lives of their brothers, sisters, and comrades. This army will fight by my side till we finish you and your fang gang. This will be better than the previous two slayers I killed ages ago. No longer do I have to take it easy on you, I…”

“Is it just me or is everyone else getting bored with this little speech,” Angel interrupted.”

The entire gang raised their hands including Sarah. Before the fight commenced Sarah finally spoke, “If everything that you say is true James, or Spike, whatever your name is, and I really am Buffy the Vampire Slayer than, nothing will change. I will continue to kick your ass just like I always did. You’ve come at us with demons in previous seasons, but you were never successful. So, if you really believe that this time will be different than I say bring it on.”

Spike looked directly into Buffy’s eyes, then at his army all around, and then broke down laughing. Along with Wesley, Fred, Gunn, Lorne, and Angel. Spike finally broke through his laughter and said, “Bloody Hell Buffy, I thought we were actually going to fight. Ha! Thanks for interrupting me Angel, I was just about to say screw it and walk off. I’ve never spoken so much b.s in all my life.”

Buffy was so confused that she yelled out, “What, this was all a ploy? I don’t get it. I guess I believed something was off, especially when the entire set in Sunnydale got sucked into hell. But I thought it was just a blue screen.”

Everyone broke out in laughter again. Lorne walked over to Buffy who was laughing as well, “Well, now that you believe all this is true. Let me introduce myself. I would have done it in the car, and excuse this cliché, but the tension was so thick you could have cut it with a knife. But I’m Lorne sugar. I’m so glad we finally met, because your singing in “Where do we go from here” was ‘Fab O lous.’ And before I shut up, I have to tell you, he’s all wrong for you honey. You belong with…”

“Ok Lorne, that’s enough,” Angel interrupted. “She’s been through a lot tonight; I think it’s best if we head back.”

“Bloody terrific idea mate,” Spike agreed, then told his army to disperse. As he made his way back into the darkness he was shocked to notice that the army of demons didn’t follow his orders.

Finally one demon spoke out and they all realized that it was the minion from the night before, “Spike you misunderstood us. When we said we’d help you out in your little performance, we had our own agenda. We came here for a fight. I told you slayer that I’d see to your death. Our daddy wants her dead, and we do what our daddy wants.”

“Who’s you daddy,” Gunn replied. “I can’t believe I just said that. They set that one up for someone to walk right through and I picked the perfect time to finally jump into this scene.”

Fred snickered, but then listened as the demon replied, “Our daddy is Joss!”
