Psilocybe cubensis Spores

This Psilocybe cubensis Amazonian strain produces very thick and fleshy magic mushrooms. The mycelium of this Psilocybe cubensis strain is extremely rhizomorphic. (Rhizomorphic growth is a sign that the mycelium will fruit very well, small finger-like or ropy-like strands begin to branch out from the white fuzz...) Although it is not the easiest strain of psilocybe cubensis for magic mushroom growing it may, if properly managed, produce some very rich flushes. The number of magic mushrooms may not be very big, the size more than compensates for this. Fruit bodies are very solid and have a massive stem. Cold-shocking is definitely required for this strain of psilocybin mushrooms. This can be accomplished by putting the colonised trays in the fridge for 24 hours. If you don't give this treatment the mycelium will completely cover the casing layer ("overlay") and this makes watering impossible. This condition causes the magic mushrooms to only form on the sides of the trays (which will lower your yields). When this condition is reached, as a remedy the surface of the casing layer can be scratched open with a clean fork. Early exposure to fruiting conditions may lessen the risk of overlay. We recommend this strain for researchers that have some experience with Psilocybe cubensis. Magic mushroom growing parameters: Substrate: Grain, compost, pasteurised dung & straw. Temperature (colonisation, cropping): 28-30ºC / 23-26ºC Please Note! The mushroom growing solutions in this section are for educational and research purposes only. Not intended for human consumption.
