We purchased this car through E-bay out of California almost sight unseen. (That’s the way James Dean would have done it). Flew into Sacramento, paid cash and drove it home to Colorado. It was a rolling death trap. Bits and pieces were flying off in Utah.

When I got it home and checked under the hood, I found that everything needed to be replaced. Since the original engine was gone, we decided to install a GM crate performance motor. The front end was replaced with stock parts.  We tore out the dash, and replaced it with stock parts and original parts we found at junkyards. We plan on upgrading to a Gen 2 front end for better handling. The bench seat will be replaced with buckets and a stock floor shifter. Many other small details and work still needs to be done. As always, it’ll never be complete. But the true fun is building the car and hearing the wife say, “stop that”, as you’re eating asphalt in a cloud of smoke and rubber.

You gotta’ drive ‘em!
