| Seth
Green is one big VIP in Hollywood. Despite the fact that his middle
name is Gresshel!
Seth was born
February 8, 1974,(making him 29) in Philadelphia, PA and raised in
the suburbs. He grew up with his sister Kaela, his father Herb who's
a math teacher, and his mother Barbara who's an artist. Seth Green
got his start in the acting business at a very young age. His uncle,
a casting director, had the connections to get Seth parts in TV
productions along with numerous commercials by the time he was six
years old. In 1984, Seth Green got a taste of the big time when he
appeared in his first film, The Hotel New Hampshire playing the role
of Egg, the little brother of Jodie Foster and Rob Lowe. He also
spent the next few years appearing in television shows before
landing his first starring role in Woody Allen's 1987 film Radio
Days. As Allen's young alter-ego, Green won a respectable amount of
recognition for his part in the nostalgic tale of a boy growing up
as part of an eccentric family in 1940s America. The role led to
work in various films, such as Can't Buy Me Love (1987) and the
following year's My Stepmother is an Alien where he first met his
future onscreen love interest co-star, Alyson Hannigan.
Green hit a rough
patch in the early 90's, finding himself acting in a bunch of bad
films and only getting small parts on random television shows,
including The Wonder Years. In fact, if audiences knew who he was at
all, it was probably because he did a series of Rally's commercials
that featured him as an obnoxious fast-food worker.
Seth Green caught a
real break when he landed the role of Oz (Daniel Osbourne) on Buffy
the Vampire Slayer. Oz was most known for his strange sense of
humour, his complete lack of emotion, and his inability to use the
proper ending to words. Ironically, he had been cast five years
earlier in the original, film version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer,
but his scenes had ended up on the cutting-room floor. But no matter
what demon the Buffy Gang faced or what threatened to destroy the
world, Oz always kept his cool. When Oz left Buffy, fans worried
that he would disappear, but Seth came back with a whole new bunch
of films.
in 1999, the actor
landed a starring role as Devon Sawa's zombie friend in Idle Hands.
The film, which was about a teen with murderous hands, had the
unfortunate luck of opening a week after the Columbine High School
shootings and quickly disappeared without a trace. However, this
didn't seem to hurt his career in any way, as he continued riding
high with his role on Buffy. Green also kept busy doing the voice of
Chris Griffin on Fox's animated series The Family Guy.
Some of Seth
Green's most notable film appearances include Kenny in Can't Hardly
Wait with Jennifer love Hewitt and all three Austin Powers films. He
also had a role in the 2001 production of Josie and the Pussycats as
a member of the fake guy group, DuJour. Seth Green's also got a role
in the comedy Americas Sweethearts staring Julia Roberts, John
Cusack and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Even
though he's only 5'4", Seth Green's a big guy in Hollywood,
appearing in the new show on Fox, Greg The Bunny. And as if all this
isn't enough, Seth also owns a production company, Lucid Films, with
acting buds Ryan Philippe and Breckin Meyer.
