Love - 20 Mar
2004
Love isn't flowers and candy
Love is to share your last
cigarette
Love isn't empty gestures and
fake words
Love will be screamed at and
not take offence
Love will be safe in a storm
Love can take away the
stereotypes we get stuck in
Love will welcome a stranger
in the night
Love is not limited to my joy
Love will not be shy
Where there is Love it will
not be hid
When we do wrong it will
forgive what we did
What was I thinking
With society the way it is we have changed the meaning of what the word love is supposed to mean.
I am just trying to express my distaste for what the world has done to something that is supposed
to be so beautiful.
Love has been made to mean: lust and greed and a last chance word to save a realtionship that is diying.
Love isn't supposed to be that and yet when we say "I love you" we mean will you sleep with me or I'm
lonely will you take pity on me or please don't send me away I can please you some how without changing
really.
Love is something that mere words cannot express and that is more than a simple emotion, it is the way that
we live our lives, and it will be seen and felt by others and not that special someone we value.
