Happy new year
2006 has just started.

For those of you who didn't know we are in Sydney now.

Living and working on the northern beaches is absolute bliss. Having to face a 10 minute commute with the option of surfing before and/or after work is brilliant.

We are keen on staying in the area for as long as possible and enjoy the proximity to friends, family and the beach.

Great news last Thursday, Sam's leg is finally on the mend. The surgeon told us that there was calcification happening in the break and that Sam could continue walking on it and even start riding her bike as long as she is careful.

We cellebrated for four days and can't believe how great a feeling it is to have some progress and to avoid another operation.

Good thing we changed doctors as the previous guy wanted to operate and had advised Sam not to put any weight on the leg. Apparently the only way the break could heal was through 100% weight bearing.

Go figure!
