Light Shining Out of Darkness God
moves in a mysterious way, Deep
in unfathomable mines Ye
fearful saints, fresh courage take, Judge
not the Lord by feeble sense, His
purposes will ripen fast, Blind
unbelief is sure to err, William Cowper |

Love is Patient, Love is Kind Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always preserves. |

Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake.
Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou are with me:
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies:
Though anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the lord for ever.
I Am
I am: yet what I am none cares or knows
My friends forsake me like a memory lost,
I am the self-consumer of my woes-
They rise and vanish in oblivious host,
Like shadows in love's frenzied stifled throes
And yet I am, and live-like vapors tossed
Into the nothingness of scorn and noise,
Into the living sea of waking dreams,
Where there's is neither sense of life or joys,
But the vast shipwreck of my life's esteems;
Even the dearest, that I love the best,
And strange-nay, rather strange than the rest.
I long for scenes where man has never trod,
A place where woman never smile or wept-
There to abide with my creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Un-troubling and untroubled where I like,
The grass below-above the vaulted sky.
John Clare
Prayer of an unknown confederate soldier
I asked God for strength, That I might achieve,
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey...
I asked for health, that I might do greater things,
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things...
I asked for riches, that I might e happy,
I was given poverty that I might be wise...
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men,
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God...
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things...
I got nothing that I asked for
-but everything that I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, y unspoiled prayers were answered.
I am among all men, most richly blessed.

The Spirit of God like a fire is burning, The latter-day glory begins to come forth; And angels are coming to visit the earth. Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb! Henceforth and forever, Amen and amen!
The Lord is extending the Saints' understanding, Restoring their judges and all as at first. The veil o'er the earth is beginning to burst. Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb! Henceforth and forever, Amen and amen!
We'll call in our solemn assemblies in spirit, To spread forth the kingdom of heaven abroad, The visions and blessings and glories of God. Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb! Henceforth and forever, Amen and amen!
How blessed the day when the lamb and the lion Shall lie down together without any ire, As Jesus descends with his chariot of fire! Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb! Henceforth and forever, Amen and amen!
Push Play to hear the beautiful song "The Spirit of God".
