The worst of all possible things recently happened to me: I fried both my motherboard and my processor at the same time! I've completely lost a full week of work on everything. Deadlines will be pushed back to a huge extreme. The album by 4 X Over will not be finished as the guys in the band would rather keep the jam sessions instead of recording a full length album. Power to them, there is no beef between us. I would have really enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to the development of their sound. I'll post a couple clips of their raw demo stuff. I've updated the DIGITAL LUNATICS page and included a downloadable version of a track tentatively titled "Only When I'm Dancing." There's also a little bit of a blurb on the duo. The Oylz project "No Way Down" will be changed ever so slightly due to computer mishaps and unruly deadlines, and it will be more of a collection of work rather than a concept album. You can now expect to hear a bit of everything on this album ranging from drum 'n bass to darkwave, rock to big beat. A majority of the tracks that were to be on this album are being pulled and kept in reserve for a project band that is yet to be titled. The idea is to keep the heavy stuff heavy, and the electronic stuff electronic. However, one or two songs will still slip through the cracks to wind up on this CD. -Chris

JAN 8 /04: Updated the site once again. Sorry about the music downloads not working properly quite yet, I'm still tweaking them. Updated my page with a little more on the "No Way Down" album. Offers a little bit more foresight into the process. At this point all of the programming for the songs is complete and the live instruments are soon to be added. I still need to work out a couple more parts for a few songs. Still in limbo with the guys from 4 x Over. We have decided to change our approach to capture a more "live-off-the-floor" type feel. We found that the timing was a little messed up and it was making the overlays tricky. -Chris |
