CANADIAN ARMY PARACHUTE WINGS CARVING
General Information
The Canadian Army parachute wings carving was commissioned as a special project by a member of the Canadian Parachute Regiment during the early 90's as a Mess decoration. The carving is now available for general sale.
The Technical Details
Each carving is hand made without the use of any powered machinery with up to three craftsmen being involved in the manufacturing process. It is carved from a single piece of timber known by its common species name of ‘walnut’. The carving measures approximately 30 cms x 75 cms with a weight of approximately 1.3 kilograms.
Different variations of parachute wings can be ordered from us as special commissions, for all countries. If you require a variation please -email us with your request / inquiry.
Once the carving has been completed it is then finished off with an application of a wood polish, and this is applied by hand.
