PARACHUTE WINGS CARVING
General Information
This 'parachute wings' carving was commissioned as a special project in July 2003. The carving is now available for general sale. Orders will be taken however from time to time this item may be in stock. We will advise if stock is available.
Different variations of parachute wings can be ordered from us as special commissions, for all countries. If you require your 'wings' to be carved please email us with your request / inquiry.
The Technical Details
Each carving is hand made without the use of any powered machinery with up to three craftsmen being involved in the manufacturing process. It is carved from a single piece of timber known by its common species name of ‘walnut’. The carving measures approximately 30 cms x 75 cms with a weight of approximately 1.3 kilo's.
Once the carving has been completed it is then finished off with an application of a wood polish, and this is applied by hand.
