CARVING
General Information
The FBI shield was commissioned as a special project in July 2003. It is now available for general sale. Orders will be taken however from time to time this item may be in stock. We will advise if stock is available.
The Technical Details
Each carving is hand made without the use of any powered machinery with up to three craftsmen being involved in the manufacturing process. It is carved from a single piece of timber known by its common species name of ‘walnut’. The carving measures approximately 26 cms x 42 cms with a weight of approximately 1.5 kilo's.
Once the carving has been completed it is then finished off with an application of a wood polish, and this is applied by hand.
