Phra Khlik is an auspicious talisman that was famous made by one of the great guru Luang Phor Kang of Wat Intarawan in Ang Thong.

     The Phra Khlik talisman or charm is said to have originated from the Lord Shiva,Indian Hindu God who manifest himself in the form of male organ "Linga", and sometimes together with "Yoni", the female genital.  It symbolises the power of creation, strength of unity and the source of destruction, similar to the Chinese "Yang" element.  It was brought into Thailand during the Khmer invasion in early 8th century AD, but it was in a bigger size and was the main object of worship at the centre of many Khmer temples.  Nowadays small size Phra Khlik are worn around the waist on a waist-string.Common usual inscriptions on the Phra Khlik were "Gan Had Nei Had" .  These were  invariably written in an old  form of script that cannot be read by contemporary Thais called "Khom" and is now widely used by most Paladkhik makers.

     Phra Khlik could be carved from wood, bone, horn ,stone, ivory or made from mixed herbal powder or even of metal.  Some Phra Khliks are in plain form, while others could come in many forms, the most common ones are monkey holding the PaladKhik,  naked lady laying herself over the Phra Khlik and lizard with split  tail,  other forms are available as well.
