Although Harry Potter does contain some elements of magic, it is a far stretch of the imagination
to say that it is satanic. The Harry Potter books and movie serve purely as entertainment . Harry is the typical hero, overcoming hardship: the loss of his parents as a baby, suffering the wrath of the Dursleys until he was eleven years old, lacking the barest essentials of a normal loving home life- and most of all- having a dark wizard after him 24-7; only to rise up and show all the qualities we find in all our favorite fictional heroes. Harry displays good sportmanship in Quidditch matches - even when faced with the horrible antics of Malfoy. Harry is the true hero in that even though he is quite afraid -he marches on to do the right thing. For example in the SORCERER'S STONE Harry goes out to confront and defeat the villain Voldemort- again displaying one of the characteristics we learn in elementary school; always try and give it your best shot.

How can we say that Harry potter is satanic when evil forces do not succeed?! In all of her books, the author has the hero overcome and defeat the evil forces. You have only to read the books, as I have, to understand that fact. Further in her second book Rowling hows our hero saving his friends -helping others in the face of danger. Throughout the books the author has Harry doing something or other to prove that good will overcome -no matter what the odds.

Nowhere in the books that I have read, does Harry injure anyone (without good reason) or kill-which would indeed be satanic acts. In the fifth book he has to deal with Umbridge, a new teacher with an attitude problem. Here are a few things she does to him:
*Takes him off the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
*Gives him too many detentions to count.
*Threatens to torture him for the whereabouts of his accused-but-inoccent serial killer-Godfather.

This time its his friend Hermione Granger who gets him out. Through all of these hardships caused by the teacher, Harry still manages to accomplish his goal and save the day...How can anyone call that evil?

If that is evil, then everything is.
