Hey everybody this is my car!
Its an 1983 GTI.
Engine:
Engine Mod's include: 1.8L block bored .050, balanced Crankshaft, lightened and balanced Flywheel, Sachs clutch, 16v oil baffle.
It has a rebuilt 4K tranny with a bolt and shim kit as we blew up the original tranny after doing up the engine.
As for the top end it has a fully ported and polished head, 3 angle vavle job, ported and polished intake and exhaust manifolds that are portmatched to the head.
It has Autotech Valvesprings and a Schrick 276o Cam. The intake manifold is ported to fit on the larger A2 T/B without am adapter plate.
This baby also has Bosch Platnum 4 spark plugs that fry anything.
The exhaust is a dual outlet manifold with a techtonics race downpipe with techtonics Tuning 2 1/4 aluminized piping. This thing absolutely screams!
According to the stock tach we have had the Rpm's down to where the gas guage is half full on a couple ocaasions and it still runs great!
(shows how much balancing and good valvesprings are worth eh!)
Suspension/Brakes:
Suspension mod's include: Neuspeed Upper strut tie bar, Neuspeed Lower Tie bar, Neuspeed Race Springs With Bilstien Race shocks.
This lowered the car about 1.5 inches with the stock wheelsand tires. The rear suspension has a 28 mm swaybar added as well. All mounts for the suspension are polyurothane.
There is no front swaybar on the car. This thing also has an Autopower bolt-in rollcage wich thankfully hasnt been tested to see if it works!
Brake mod's include: New Calipers, Rotors, and Metal Master Pads on the front. These babies stop fast! The rear brakes are still drums but that might be changed. (depends on $)
