“The National Resource Center”
The National Resource Center for women, youth, and
children provides information regarding the
available resources within the community and county. This public facility communicates directly
with individuals, families, groups, and couples. It offers a range of accessible resources to assist
people overcome social and health problems, such as poverty, child abuse and neglect, mental
illnesses, emotional instability, domestic violence, homelessness, and drug abuse. Also, this center
provides information to help address the needs of people, or refer clients for appropriate
professional or community services. Most of all, the centers goal is working to improve social
services and health services through research to communities, organizations. Furthermore, helping
individuals improve personal and social functioning by providing information regarding education,
employment, training, and personal growth services. Hopefully this will enhance individuals to be
more responsive to identified needs within society.
