Welcome to Micah's Wiggly Make-A-Wish Adventure. This page is dedicated to my son, Micah, and about his Make-A-Wish trip. Micah's wish was to see "The Wiggles." Here is a detailed summary of our trip. Well, where to start...lol. Ok here goes... Nov. 19th, 2003 8:56am. Huge white limo pulls up to front door. It's pouring down rain and the driver (Randy) gets out with an umbrella and one by one loads us into the limo. Did I say it was huge?...lol The driver and his wife where wonderful! They took very good care of us. They even had Animal Crackers for the kids. It was an experience to remember! THank you Randy and Wendy!!! 11:30am. We arrive at the airport. Go through customs, have bags searched. Micah starts screaming because they have to physically search him. (Can't go through the detectors cause of shunt.) He didn't stop crying till we got to Boston...Ugh. He continued to run a temp while we were there, so Motrin and Tylenol had to be a daily thing. Flight was great! By 2:30pm, we were walking in the front door of the Lenox Hotel in Boston. It was wonderful. We had two rooms that had the door in between. We didn't do anything else this day. Nov. 20th, 2003 The big day has arrived... We decided to take a taxi to Toys R Us. We had plenty of time. The limo wouldn't be there to pick us up till 12:30. Get to TRU at about 9:30am. Spend about 1 1/2 looking at toys...lol. Get a few Wiggle things and out the door we go. Or so we thought. Wave down a taxi and go to get in..."I'm sorry, sir, but only 4 to a cab" is what we heard. WHAT?? Ok, not a problem....right? Well, 2 taxis and 45 minutes later a van pulls up to take us back to the hotel. ONLY got this because the lady at the TRU was wonderful and called the hotel and must have given them you know what....lol! So lets see now. It's 12pm when we get back to the hotel. The limo comes to get us at 12:30. Oh man...we didn't eat lunch yet. DH runs across the street and grabs some subs from Subway. Have just enough time to change and get diapers changed and then the call came. Your Ride is here. OH MY...This is it! Time to go see the Wiggles....lol! I can't wait to see Micah's face when he sees them! Camera? Check. Autograph things? Check. Micah?? Check, check. Ok, good to go. We're off to see The Wiggles ... Run down and hop in the limo. Micah cries almost the whole trip. Oh my gosh, he's going to not enjoy this at all. He's just too upset. We get to the stadium, and we are one of the first to get there. We THINK we are going to see The Wiggles right away. OH NOOOO...I forgot my driver's license to show them that I am Grace to get the tickets! Oh man....Oh crude....I forgot Micah's sign! Oh great. We get here, and now no one is going to know where we are. P00H! Well, we got the tickets anyways. Thank you Lord! But we can't get the production person on the phone. At 2:30, they opened the gates and away to our seats we went. I thought our seats would be up high but NOOOOOOO!!!...Here we are, right in front of the stage 5 rows of seats back!!!!!!! WOW....If my pictures turn out...WOW am I going to have great ones. ... The wonderful Wiggles of Oz ... Well, the Make-A-Wish lady called again to see when we would be going back to see them. No answer, ok another 10 minutes...."Ah...yes...ok...sure that's fine" is what we hear. Our Make-A-Wish helper said we will see them about 10 to 15 minutes before the show. Ok...sounds good. Micah's still crying. Oh man, poor little guy. Well, it is now 15 till 3. Ok. they should be calling us. Ummm...hello? It's now 10 till. Oh man it's 5 till 3, and no called yet. BUMMER. Well, I guess Micah wont get to see them after all. 3pm came and passed. But then..... Ring, ring. "Yes...Ok....Sure sounds great....Yes I see it. Ok we are on our way." YES, YES, YES!! The show is running late, and we are going back! After waiting about 5 minutes, Anthony comes out first! And goes right to John... WOW this is GREAT!!!! Then Murray, Greg and Jeff come out. HOLY MOLY ARE GREG AND MURRAY TALL!!!!...lol When Micah saw Murray, my heart leapt to my throat. Micah's eye's lit up, and he ran to Murray and started yelling, "Murray! Murray!" and started doing his little jig. He then ran to Greg and Anthony and then he saw Jeff...Oh my gosh...lol I'm getting tears in my eyes...lol No tears. I'm taking the pictures....lol Well, Micah started sleeping....lol "Wake up, Micah" is what I think I heard them say...lol Then all of a sudden. Micah turns away and runs....Oh No..He runs to the diaper bag and what should he bring out??? LMBO...He gets his new Wiggles guitar and runs back to Murray. Murray got such a big kick out of it. He said,"Hey look, Mikah (this is how they spell his name) got his guitar. How cute!" Micah then went to Murray and started telling Murray he plays his guitar with him....lol I got some great pictures. Meanwhile, I didn't get to say ANYTHING to them, other then to congratulate Anthony on his arrival in Feb. Oh man. It went so fast. I got lots of pictures, and then they let us get a group shot with them and our family. The guys were GREAT! They talked to DH and all of our sons. So wonderful! The show ...We left and went back to our seats. We saw the show, and Micah danced and sang. He looked soooo happy! After the show, the Make-A-Wish person hurried us out back to the limo. I couldn't look for anyone. :o( She said we needed to go, because the limo was waiting and parked in the way...lol We did get our picture taken in front of it. It was a black limo. WOW! I really wish we could have meet Kel, and Carol and all the other boardies! That was the big downfall of the trip. We get back to the hotel, and Micah is soooo tired. He falls asleep. Nov. 21st, 2003 We are to go to the Aquarium today and the Hard Rock Cafe. Ok...Aquarium first. It was very chilly today and rainy. Oh, well. It's all inside. We had a great time at the aquarium. Micah loved the fish. We headed back and went to the Hard Rock. THAT was great! We walked, because it was close to the hotel. Micah walked almost the whole thing. We had anything on the menu on the house. We then went to the gift shop and got a few things. After we got back, we just relaxed. I got some great pictures. Next day we would be going home. Nov. 22nd, 2003 Time to pack up. Oh man...too much stuff....lol "Ok, John...come sit on this for me".....lol Great got everything packed. Re-checked the rooms. Ok, time to call the van service. We are off to the airport. By 12pm, we are getting ready to eat lunch. Out flight isn't until 2:45. To make this story a little shorter...lol...we didn't get home till 10pm that night. We took the limo driver and his wife out to dinner....lol That was cool. We had such a wonderful time. Anywho...leave a message for Micah and the family letting us know your thoughts about our trip.
