ABRE UNA CAJA DE SORPRESAS

Seguro que ustedes saben perfectamente quién es Melody. Eso es, aquel pequeño torbellino de ritmo y frescura, hija de uno de los componentes del grupo Los Quillos, natural de Dos Hermanas (Sevilla) que nos presentó un buen día El Fary y que se nos quedó por aquí ganándose la simpatía de todo el personal con aquella forma de bailar y cantar las hazañas de un gorilita rumbero y con una coreografía que de pronto cuestionaba peligrosamente las sesudas teorías darwinianas de la evolución de la especie humana. Pues bien, Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, nombre completo de aquella jovencita ya tiene un nuevo trabajo que añadir a esos dos álbumes que fueron “De pata negra” (2001) y “Muévete” (2002), dos discos que serían recibidos con las puertas abiertas en la zona más caliente de las listas de ventas, tanto en España como sobre todo en Hispanoamérica, por donde pasearía recogiendo varios discos de platino.
Se trata del sorprendente “T.Q.M.”, un trabajo inesperado con el que Melody nos viene a demostrar que ya no solamente es aquella muchacha que nos cogía por el cogote y nos dejaba en la pista de baile sino que se ha convertido en una fantástica intérprete que con una madurez impropia de su edad nos sirve trece fantásticas canciones que abren el abanico de su estilo hacia terrenos nada previsibles hasta la fecha en su discografía, como puedan ser la canción dance latina, el pop bailable y descarado, la rumba moderna y desprejuiciada, el rap aflamencado e incluso alguna balada de romántica factura.
Una extraordinaria evolución de la que seguramente habrá que responsabilizar en buena medida a ese par de socios, expertos e inteligentes productores que forman el compositor, Julio Seijas y el magistral letrista, Luis Gomez-Escolar, sin duda el tandem más productivo y versatil del pop español y en cuyo currículum figuran nombres como Sergio Dalma, Miguel Bosé, Rocío Jurado, Ricky Martín, Dyango y un larguísimo etc. El equipo de músicos capitaneados por el arreglista Bob Painter tampoco pertenece a ninguna de las divisiones inferiores de nuestra música pop: Juan Cerro y Osvi Grecco tocan guitarras; Marcelo Fuentes, se ocupa del bajo y Christian Constantini se sienta a la batería.

I am sure that you know perfectly who Melody is. That is, that small whirlwind of rhythm and freshness, daughter of one of the components of the group Los Quillos,
who comes from Dos Hermanas--Two Sisters (Sevilla--Seville) that one good day El Fary presented us and that she remained with us through here winning the affection all the personnel with that form of dancing and singing the deeds of a little gorilla rumba dancer and with a choreography that suddenly was questioning dangerously the wise Darwinian theories of the evolution of the human species. Then, Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, complete name of that young little girl she already has a new work that adds to those two albums that were “De pata negra” (2001) y “Muévete” (2002), two discs that would be received with open doors in the hottest zone of the lists of sales, so much in Spain like above all in Hispano-America, by where she would take a stroll gathering various platinum discs. She treats with the surprising “T.Q.M.”, an unexpected work with which Melody comes to demonstrate to us that no longer she is only that girl who took us by the back of the neck and she was leaving us on the dance track but that has become a fantastic interpreter that with an uncharacteristic maturity of her age she serves us 13 fantastic songs that opens the fan of her style towards lands not previsible until the date of her records, as they can be the Latin dance song, danceable pop and shameless, modern rumba and unprejudiced, Flamecan rap and even some ballad of romantic invoice.
An extraordinary evolution of which surely it will be necessary to make responsible in good measure to that pair of partners, experts and intelligent producers that form the composer, Julio Seijas and the skillful lyricist, Luis Gomez-Escolar, without a doubt the most productive and versatile tandem of Spanish pop and in whose curriculum they figure names like Sergio Dalma, Miguel Bosé, Rocío Jurado, Ricky Martín, Dyango and a large number etc. The team of musicians commanded by the arranger Bob Painter nor belongs to any of the inferior divisions of our pop music: Juan Cerro y Osvi Grecco play guitars; Marcelo Fuentes busies himself with bass and Christian Constantini feels the drums.
