John, Elizabeth and 2 young children, Mary & John Henry, came to Australia on the "Berkshire" arriving at Point Henry in Geelong on October 3, 1848. They settled near Drysdale and farmed there until about 1860. They then went to Kingston, near Creswick, and continued farming in that area. John died in 1883 at Bungaree and Elizabeth died in 1899 at Kingston. Both John and Elizabeth are buried at the Creswick Cemetery.
John and Elizabeth had 11 children;
1.Mary Ann Morrish was born on 8th September 1844 in Illogan, Cornwall and died there on 20th March 1845.
2.John Henry Morrish was born on the 29th January 1846 in Illogan, Cornwall and died on the 4th November 1942 in Colac, Victoria.
3. William Morrish was born in Geelong,Victoria in 1854.
4. Catherine Morrish was born at Indented Head in Victoria in 1856.
5. Emily Morrish was born in Kingston in Victoria in 1861.
6.James Morrish was born in Kingston, Victoria in 1863.
7. Phillipa Morrish was born in 1865 in Victoria and died in Kingston, Victoria in 1869.
