United told to up Ronaldinho offer

Manchester United have been told they will have to fork out a staggering £31million if they want to sign Ronaldinho.

The British transfer record bombshell has been dropped by Francis Graille, president of Ronaldinho's French club, Paris St Germain.

Real, who have made it a habit of signing a world superstar every summer for the last few years, are proposing a £25million move for Ronaldinho in 12 months' time - with a third of the cash up front now.

Graille reckons if United are that desperate to have Ronaldinho on their books then they will have to come up with the phenomenal £32million sum.

"We still want him to stay. But if United arrive with an offer of 45million euros, it (the transfer) can go very quickly," Graille to Le Parisien newspaper.

"Real propose 35million euros to have Ronaldinho in a year, and to pay a third as early as today. At the moment there is an offer from Real, who proposed a deal in two steps, and an offer from Barcelona, who proposed money and some players. There is nothing at all from Manchester."
