Biography:
We began in the town of DeKalb Jct NY, an infested hick village want to be on the side of the middle of no where placed on the Earth.
This is the place in the World where everyone is concerned about sports and no one is interested in music.
EXCEPT about 20+ people in the Hermon DeKalb high-school band run by Mr. Danis (one of the best guys to run a music program in the world, Seriously!).
Jarrett started music lessons in 8th grade because he couldn't read the ruler units in Tech class and needed an exit out of it.
Then came along the snare drums lessons.
He was not accepted into High-school band untill 10th grade because he was required to take snare drum lessons for about 2 years.
After entering High-school band he never really played the "set" at first for band arrangements.
There were better players to do so.
So Jarrett was assigned to instruments such as the timphany, "kettle drums" and other percussion instruments such as.....well the.... I don't remember! hmmm... I'll get back to you on that one...
Second year(11th grade)in band Jarrett played alot of bongo and congo percussion; along with the bass drum.
He loved playing the congo and bongo because they helped him with his fills on the drum set when he had a chance to practice.
He told everyone to "set-up bongo and congo infront of the other and play it together in different repetitions in order to get an arangement from it".
He could never do fills well untill he did this.
That year James Harmer was interested in "jamming" with Jarrett.
Jarrett had never really done a "band" type thing before but he was game.
James and Jarrett got together for study periods and after school sometimes working on what at first was punk music, and being a reliant K cover band because they could play every song by them("pretty much everysong").
"We started out with putting togeter a mix of Dogwood, Project 86, MXPX, Slick Shoes, Reliant K, Pax 217, and Blink 182 sound alike stuff together and doing songs by them which helped us to define a style of our own....STILL UNDEFINED! thats the style UNDEFINED."
They decided to take a step further into the music scene by going more by the project 86 feel of music.
A little harder yet with a taste of punk (now kind of known as a screemo type) but with understandable words(most of the time) the first time you listen.
"The message is always to be clear in our songs....WE LOVE JESUS we don't care who knows but its true.
If we were to ever get it sometime in the future we all want it to be known from the get-go WE ARE A CHRISTIAN BAND,NOT 3/4 GUYS IN A BAND THAT ARE CHRISTIANS BUT ALL!"
There is more to this biography to come when jarrett had sleep...to be continued
