24 Aug. First battle of Svensksund, 44 vessels of the Swedish skerri fleet were attacked by 107 Russian ships and suffered severe losses.

17 Oct. Frigates Camilla and Fröja together with the brig Husaren leaves Karlskrona for the Mediterranean,
        but soon runs into a severe storm and Husaren is lost with all hands, both frigates lose all topmasts.
22 Nov. After repairs frigates Camilla and Fröi;ja together with frigate Sprengtporten leaves Gothenburg for the Mediterranean.
14 Dec. George Washington dies.
18 Dec. Camilla, Fröja and Sprengtporten joins frigate Thetis who is protecting Swedish and American Convoys from the barbary states together with American frigates.
