THANKS MUM

You're the best friend I could have Mum
I love you with all my heart
There's so many things I want to say to you
And thankyou's, so I'll start

I'd just like to say thankyou Mum
For always being there
And helping me through my hard times
It helped to know you care

And thankyou Mum for holding my hand
When I was ill and covered in bumps
And thankyou for wiping away my tears
When my heart lay in the dumps

Thankyou for sticking up for me Mum
When others put me down
And thanks for making me smile Mum
When I had good reason to frown

And thankyou for forgiving me Mum
When I did something bad
And thankyou for still loving me Mum
When I hurt you, and made you mad

I appreciate what you do for me Mum
More than you'll ever know
And I hope the years we have ahead
Will see our friendship grow

So I hope this poem tells you
How much you mean to me
And the friendship that we have
Will last eternally

December 10 2006 is the next Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting.  The
Worldwide Candle Lighting is held every year on the second Sunday in
December at 7:00 pm in every time zone.  Intense darkness of grief gives
way to light, as hundreds of thousands of candles spread their flickering
flames to light the night in unison, as all of the children who died are
remembered and honored.  The first candles are lit in New Zealand, and
for the next 24 hours a virtual wave of light spreads around the world.
