RPG CYBER-FIGHTING
Cyber-fighting rules of engagement brought to you by Teenchat.com's role-playing elders and put into motion by Emperor Maximilian
The following are the rules of Engagement taken into consideration during a cyber-fight. These rules have somewhat been changed over the last few years but the basics remain the same as they have always been. These rules are adopted within Teenchat.com's realm of role-playing and of course may varie elsewhere.
The basics about cyber-fighting would have to be posting up an attack and waiting for a reply by the opponent. There are variations of this in some ways. The moves depend on the scene and the storyline of the characters and/or the way that the fight is held. Usually, c-fighting are considered of certain ways:
- Hand to hand moves, basically martial arts, wrestling, or just regular street fights.
- Sometimes weapons can be used in a cyber-fight.
- Others, with abilities like would use energy attacks, magic spells and Physic Attacks...etc.
The three variations of fighting can be combined or as one, and depends on the storyline and the character(s). An example of a c-fight would be below.
***Mythic One glares at Defiler with an evil smirk on his face***
***Defiler Rushes in & throws a punch to Mythic One's jaw***
***Mythic One Staggers from the punch, then charges energy through his arms & fires a burst of ki blasts at Defiler***
***Defiler Struggles to his feet and picks up a bolder and hurls it at Mythic One's face***
***Mythic One ducks as the bolder just skins him and laughs***
***Defiler Reaches into pocket, puts on brass knuckles, and delivers a charging punch towards Mythic One's temple***
Around 70% of the time fights are pretty hard to win. However, most of the time a win is declared by who was dominating in the fight and who is able to launch a finishing blow without the other being able to stop it in any way cause of the amount of sustained injury and damage.
How to Start Off
Interested in cyber-fighting?
- You should start off with picking a character.
If you make a character from a certain Anime you MUST play that character like in the anime.
- A better idea, if you have good imagination, is to make a character.
You can make a good storyline for the character, and start him off with some powers, or say that the true power cannot be released unless he/she goes through training.
- A way to gain popularity in your original character is to start off by sparring or putting things in your tag (like joining an organization relating to your local RPG) from then, the popularity will grow.
- Another good way to increase strength of your character is to go through training under certain masters.
(Experienced role-players who cyber-fight) There are many masters in everything from martial arts and wrestling to the spiritual arts and energy mastery. You may ask around and there are some that will be eager to accept you as their student.
Here is a list of what NOT to do in the experience of cyber-fighting. Doing any of the following continuously will bring shame to your own name, put you in a position of being known as un-honorable and disrespectful, and you will be considered either a Cheater or a Newbie.
- Not responding to attacks appropriately.
(When attacked you must defend yourself or the opponent can finish you off)
- Damage calling.
(You can not call inflicted damage upon your opponent unless your opponent takes too long to respond)
- Using attacks that cannot be recovered from / instant death.
(Shooting a gun at someone’s head at close range for example)
- Using a nearly unbeatable attack.
- Responding to hits but not taking damage.
(Either dodge, or drop to the ground clutching your gut in pain)
- Over attacking.
(You cannot attack continuously without giving the opponent a chance to respond)
- No immortality.
(Everyone can be killed, everyone has a weakness)
- Don’t act like a dumbass. Cussing is not going to clean the blood off your face.
(When cyber-fighting you must remember this is RP, as in Role Playing, so don’t take an ass kicking too seriously)
These are ways to regain lost honor and respect to your name:
- Change how you fight.
(Cut back on the cheap power moves & take hits like a real fighter)
- If your character is too powerful try making a new one that's less immortal.
- Don't go for the kill early in the fight.
(When the fight goes on for awhile most people won't mind a cool vicious attack or two)
- Wait for your turn to attack.
- We all know it's a dumb idea to punch an armored warrior in the stomach in real life. But a cyber-fight is more like a video game. The hit should have some effect, even if it is just a punch.
***How would a person know if a person is weak? Fighters would have their ego some time, but at some time or another, the best does not WIN every match, nor do the weak LOSE every match. Cheaters are the ones that claim they’re God and believe that they are truly unstoppable, but a warrior is not made up of someone who follows no rule patterns and does as he or she wishes. That's just what true role-players call being cheap. A warrior is nothing without honor. ***
